SWTOR 7.4.1 Announced: Copero Stronghold, Galactic Seasons 6 and Date Nights (2024)

Broadsword has revealed details of SWTOR 7.4.1 which has many nice features coming around March: new romance cinematics, new Cartel Market armor sets, and a new Copero Stronghold!

Several members of the SWTOR team over at Broadsword hosted a live stream event on February 14th, 2024 to announce and preview the upcoming game update 7.4.1 to Star Wars The Old Republic. This article details every segment of the live stream and some additional announcements that follow it.

Exclusive Livestream Code

As usual, those who attended the SWTOR livestream received a code for a decoration. If you weren’t able to make it, the Vulkk team has you covered!

To get the Darth Krovos stronghold decoration, use the code LotSKrovos. Capitalization does not matter when entering this code on the SWTOR website.

Do note that while the devs said to go to www.swtor.com/redeem-code to enter in the code, this can lead to a dead end after the SWTOR website was updated. You can redeem your code by accessing your Account Page, select the Overview tab, and select the “Redeem Code” option.

Galactic Seasons 6 brings new Copero Stronghold

The new Galactic Season will be Chiss-themed and you’ll be working with the Inrokini family from Copero. You might remember this family and planet from the Traitor Among the Chiss flashpoint.

UPDATE: Read our full guide to SWTOR’s Galactic Season 6 to learn more about the rewards, new missions, achievements, and features.

House Inrokini is looking to learn more about the galaxy at large and you’ll be the one to help them. It’s in your best interest to do so as doing so will get you a stronghold on Copero! Here are some exterior shots to start off:

If you wanted beachfront property but didn’t like the aesthetics of Rishi, this Copero Stronghold is a great alternative! The interior utilizes stone in its architecture which gives it an elegant and old appearance. This would be a great place to make a calm getaway or some sort of Jedi outpost.

You will be able to earn parts of the Copero stronghold by completing Story Missions tied to Galactic Seasons 6. Similar to Season 5, getting higher ranks in the Galactic Seasons will unlock missions and in time, you’ll be able to unlock two additional rooms in the Copero stronghold by completing more missions.

This stronghold will have a total of nine rooms available to unlock, though Free-to-Play players will only be able to unlock two more rooms on top of the first room.

Subscribers will be able to unlock three additional rooms with the Subscriber Track in Galactic Seasons 6. Finally, another set of three rooms can be unlocked by paying with Cartel Coins, so a good chunk of the Copero Stronghold is locked behind a paywall. No mention about unlocking rooms with credits was mentioned, this will likely not be an option.

Do note that the devs didn’t mention how to unlock the Copero stronghold after Galactic Season 6 has concluded. Be sure to complete those weekly and daily missions to hit your weekly cap as much as you can so you don’t miss out!

New Cartel Market Additions

One can always expect new Cartel Market items being released with Update Streams, and this stream was no exception. We’re getting new decorations and sales on current decorations, armor sets and weapons inspired by the Ahsoka series, and new specular dyes!

Utility Decoration Bundles

Often seen as a necessity for strongholds, utility decorations will now be featured in a Cartel Market bundle. Each bundle comes with a Cargo Hold, Legacy Storage, Guild Bank, Mailbox, GTN Kiosks, Workbench, and Appearance Modification Station.

You might be wondering why you’d buy these over the ones you can gain via crafting Prefabs, the answer is aesthetics. The basic Utility Decoration Bundle features modernized textures and some new flashy touches such as the mailbox having blinking lights.

You can tell that more detail and depth has been added to these decorations. Parts of the model that were originally textures may now pop out of the decorations. You can notice this on the GTN terminals and the Appearance Modification Station.

Another Utility Decoration Bundle will be available only this one matches the aesthetics of the Copero stronghold!

Prime Centurion and Gothic Master Armor Sets and Gothic Master Lightsabers

These two armor sets were inspired by Captain Enoch and Marrok from the Ahsoka series. These sinister looking armors will be available in 7.4.1 and the Gothic Master also has lightsabers to pair with it. Here’s the Prime Centurion Armor and Gothic Master Dualsaber to start:

The White and Gold dye set may work well with this set but we’ll have to wait and see if it does. You can also see the Gothic Master Lightsaber with this set, it’s simple but it looks good.

New Narrative Feature: Date Nights

Do you long for more romance with your companions? 7.4.1 will introduce date night alliance alerts and cinematics for romanceable companions. This will only be available with Lana Beniko, Theron Shan, Koth Vortena, and Arcann to start.

The devs stated they want to add date nights for each romanceable companion, though this will take some time as there are a lot of them to build missions for.

One fun detail mentioned with the date nights is that you’ll be able to learn more about these characters’ backstories. One example given was with Koth and how you’ll learn more about his growing up on Zakuul and meet some of his friends there!

Character development is always great, though many fans each have their own preferred romanceable companion they can look forward to a date night with in the future.

The devs plan to do 1-2 companion date nights with each minor update (7.X.1). You might notice some visual improvements to the lips and mouths on the character models. Is this to make them look more kissable? Is this part of the ongoing texture and model updates being made on SWTOR? It’s probably both! It’s nice to see minor details added, they all add up for a better experience.

Cosplay Kits

The devs have announced new cosplay kits for Theron Shan, Lana Beniko, Koth Vortena, and Arcann. These kits are a set of images that feature art of these character’s costumes and details of texture and color.

These will be available with 7.4.1 is released. This means a lot to cosplayers as these details are needed to make perfectly accurate costume replicas.

SWTOR 7.5

Not much information was given about SWTOR 7.5 as we’ll learn more about that in a future livestream, and you can bet the VULKK team will be covering that as well! The story for 7.5 will be known as “Desperate Defiance” and here we’ll be going to the planet Hutta!

SWTOR 7.4.1 Announced: Copero Stronghold, Galactic Seasons 6 and Date Nights (40)

Since Imperials were able to go to Ord Mantell, a previously Republic-only planet, it’s time to turn the tables where Republic characters can now travel to the previously Imperial-exclusive planet, Hutta! It’s likely we’ll experience visual enhancements with Hutta as we did with Ord Mantell, Tython, and Korriban in 7.4.

We’ll be getting more story development with Lana Vizla and her research with the Basilisk War Droids. All we know is that her research came to fruition and that it’ll be “adorable and terrifying” according to the devs.

New SWTOR Spring Event

The devs stated that in 7.5 we’ll have a new SWTOR event that’s related to spring. No details were given about this for now but this gives us a time frame as to when we can expect 7.5. SWTOR 7.4.1 is releasing sometime in March, so SWTOR 7.5 will likely release around April or May as those are the two last months available in Spring. We can only speculate on when 7.5 will be released but we have an idea for now.

7.4.1 Release Date

While the devs didn’t provide a specific release date for 7.4.1, we can get a very good idea of when it’s coming out. During the stream, the devs mentioned that the Red/Pink dye was for Valentines Day and the green/gold dye was for St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick’s Day will be on March 17th, 2024, so we’re likely to receive 7.4.1 around then.

That’s it for the 7.4.1 Livestream update! 7.4.1 will likely be late for a minor update. It’s been about 6 months since the last minor update and 3 months since the last major update. It sounds like 7.5 might be early or on-time to get back on track and be released in time for the spring event.

Keep checking back in on Vulkk.com for future SWTOR updates! In the meantime, you can read up on our SWTOR 7.4 coverage if you’re looking to catch up, or see our SWTOR Guides Master List!
