We will be camping on the beach at the 3 mile mark from the sand. You may need a 4x4 to get through the sandy areas, but we just went and were able to drive in and out with our Honda Civic. On holiday weekends it gets more use and the sand is looser.
There is a visitors center with public showers and restrooms a few miles from our camp site.
We will provide a bathrooom tent with seat and shovel.
You will need to bring your own food, ice and ice chest, cooking gear, water to drink and shower with, and anything else you can't live without such as coffee or alcohol and cigarettes. It is quite a trek into town for essensials.
The visitors center has a gift shop that has ice and a few drinks, souveniers and snacks.
If you have any wood, we would like to have fires each night.
Bring your own chair, air mattress, tent, pillow, and other comforts.
Don't forget the SUNCREEN!
Children are welcome, however adults will be drinking.
There is no phone reception at the 3 mile mark but at the visitor's center and in town everything works. |
